Well.....I guess it was only a matter of time before our little 2.0Ts put out some decent numbers. GT30 turbo with APR rods, stock pistons and what not.
APR and USP worked together to make a Stage 3 582whp Daily Driven nutcase.

Im pretty damn impressed, and having had the chance to ride around in a DD APR Stage 3 Jetta 1.8T with a 370 or so HP , I cant image what this would be like.

How do you keep the steering wheel in your hands with that much torque?

Aren't those Stage 3 kits like $8000?

yea they range from $6000 and up, but generally when the people go stage 3, its usually the higher figures since the GT30/35 and what not are gettting more popular.

Can you say torque steer? Let's see how those axles hold up

It's impressive, but I wouldn't want that much power in a FWD car unless I was drag racing it...

GT30/35 is pretty damn huge for a 2.0. I bet they don't spool until about 4500k +. Dyno queens or drag racers with NOS?

I've always been a fan of the style and looks of VWs, it's about time the aftermarket started supporting some real power for the cars. Even thought it is priced way too high. Hopefully competition will drive those prices down.
Also, 1.8l or 2.0l + GT35r is fail. By the time that bitch spools, you're almost at redline! How about a GT3071r on one of those 2.0t motors?

Most of the Stage 3's are 28's or 30's. Im pretty sure there are only a couple of 35's but thats it. The powerband on the 28/30 isnt too bad actually, a hair under 3K and over is all where its at. In fact a lot of people just swap out for the K04 since usable power and torque is nearly matched with stock numbers at 1800 rpms all the way through redline.

Most of us want to get rid of our K04 in replace of something that works beyond 5500 and you guys want them.. Funny how this world works.
