Went to the site this morning, Norton blocked a "fake scan webpage", every time you navigate, it tries to install..

fun. I have fixed about 12 computers in the last month with the dubious "XP Antivirus 2008/2009". Sounds like the same crap is trying to install on your pc from their site. Just can't trust the internet these days.... :P

I saw that crap on my laptop last night. It popped up on my wife when she was doing something. Even after you cancel, it persists and is a pain to get rid of.

Diddo- My PC at home is having the same BS "Antivirus 2009" issues. I've tried to get it off but no luck
As of now, I'm just using Firefox and it isn't a problem, but the moment I use IE, it persistantly pops up all the frickin' time! I even removed IE and it still shows as a warning when I start up. Anyone know how to get rid of it?

download this, run the quick scan, be done with XP antivirus crap
http://www.download.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-...4-10804572.htmlbefore this tool, it was searching for registry entries and dll files, so trust me, this thing works like a charm.
