Question about RX8 Tuner and other Stuff

Hey Everyone, I appologize in advance if you have heard this over and over again, but I am going to start doing some work on the car and need some advice. lol.

(Quick note) I was at my wife's Birthday Party and this guy with a Chrysler 300C, just came up to me and told me that my RX8 was $H*T and said his car was better. After asking him how old he was, and if he just got out of kindergarden he challenged me to a race and I actually beat him around a few blocks (we were at Red and Jerry's). So he's whining about how he really can beat me any day of the week and i just got lucky...ect. So he wants to race me on a track next summer.

Anyway (and i'm sorry to waste time with that, i just got really annoyed and needed to get it off my chest. lol)

So can anyone tell me what is a good program to get to tune my car? I was going to start off with that. Also, can anyone recommend a place to get a stock spoiler? I have a cold air intake (Revi Racing Beat) and I am saving up for a turbo charger. Thanks in advance for any help.

Tuning wise, there are a couple of options out there. The first, is the Racing Beat reflash. You have to send them your ECU and $300. I think they're advertising about a 10hp gain or so with the reflash. Second, you can get the Cobb AccessPORT, which is a littler more expensive at $700. The advantage to that, is if you do go FI in the future, your car can be tuned with the AccessPORT, and you won't have to purchase a different engine management system. I have the AP and dyno'd a 11 hp gain. My engine is completely stock. You can order the AP from MazdaManiac at http://www.mazdamaniac.com/cobb/accessport.htm. He provides custom maps, which you would need since you have the CAI.

i conqure with Tim ap is better value in the long run and all u gotta do is order from mazdamaniac. or you can spend like 1k and get the interceptor x. i think thats a whole ecu but it may be a piggyback.

"Hymee" on the RX8 forum has been working for some time on what I think you're looking for. It's called the "sCANalyser Pro Tuner" and consists of a software package and a little OBDII dongle. It's still in development and I have a beta version on my computer but I can't show it to you and I've yet to really play around with it. But it's coming.

myspoiler.com is probably the best place to get a stock spoiler. they have both plastic and fiberglass, and can get painted or unpainted. They run about 150 painted and like 85 not painted. Alot cheaper than the 400 you'll pay from a dealer. oh yeah, go with the COBBAP. Especially if you still have a warranty left because you can always take it back to stock before they do work and then go back to your map.

i have to agree to by a spoiler online. id sell u my stock spoiler but its blue so yeah it wont look right having a winning blu spoiler on. i guess ill hang it up somewhere and admire it..
