not knowing what the oem engine bay looks like it's hard to compare, but I suspect the paint on the engine cover is new and it looks good.

It was black.

Looks nice. Not to much but just enough.

Mebe you cuold take a brush and paint the letters and the little ribs that run horizontally? Just a thought.

I usually hate painted engine covers but you did a very good job! Subtle and fallowed the lines well. :62a82059:

I usually don't like them either. I figured I could go back to black if I didn't like this.
