CMZC Calander for 09

I was just thinking we have a lot of photographic talent on here and a lot of memers no. I was just thinking that we should do a calander like we were thinking of in the begging of the year. The old thread is HERE.

Only thing that sucks is we can't really capture all the seasons but we can get Summer, Fall, and Winter in. We can fake Spring somehow. We really should try and get this going and start seting up some locations to shoot. A combination of cruises and members photos has gotten me thinking about this again. Just post up thoughts and ideas for this.

I think this sounds like a great idea! It would be best to think of if you want each month to have one Mazda or a group of Mazda's... I can't think of a way to do a calendar without upsetting someone who doesn't get what they expected. I would love to help out... I don't even care if my car is in a month, just being apart of it would be awesome.

Below are my ideas from the other thread. IIRC this accomidated almost all the ideas we had. Any one chime in and present your ideas. This will need to be a team effort. I will try and work on a Sample page and layout and post it up so you all can have an idea of what it will look like.

Back to the thumbnails. For the models where there are more than 3 cars or cars of the same color we could use the thumb nails. Let me use the 6's right now. This includes the speed6. We have Lee, Guido, ect .... who have 6's/S6's. Well lee's and guidos are both white. Pointless to have two whites in the main pic. So we kick Guido out because he sucks. :lol:

and put him down as a thumbnail. Lee is the main focus in the big pic. Say we have 3 red 6's, The nicer will go in the big pic with lee and the rest thumbnailed. Kinda get it? Hard to explain when your writing it down. LOL. This would be true for the 8's also and 3's. It wouldn't make sense to showcase 3 Titanium Grey 8's in the main pic so we choose one and thumbnail the rest. Also, the cars chosen for the main shot would get their own thumbnails.

We are gonna need a lot. Like photographers. We have like what 5 members that take awesome pics. We need people to volunteer their cars and times to make it out to a shoot. Ideas of shoot locations and which cars would do which shoot. Dates set up throught the year probably till Nov for different shoots. I'm probaly making it more work than it is but it should be a pain but in the end worth it. We can even take some pics from our carshow in Sept for the Sept month?

Oh...and just for thought...perhaps we should do smaller groups on different days. I.E. Colorado Springs on one day, 3's on another day, 8's on another, 6's on another...After last year's photo shoot that we did, I think it'll be harder to do a larger group this time.

I have no idea. If you two would like to take care of that part I'd appreciate it. Like I said it doesn't sound like a lot of work but for one person (ie. me) it will be. So I'll take any help you all want to give.

That's what I was thinking. Find out what locations we want. We need 12. Preferably some city and some nature (mountain) shots. We also need to find out which locations we want which cars to be in. We don't have 12 different models so maybe a couple of pages could be a mixture of mazdas. IDK. I'll try and get a sample page from pics I find in the gallery and my HD after the cruise tonight.

Just another thought. How many months into 2010 do we want to go into? Until Feb then we need 14 locations.
