I don't think that was a RX-7... it looks more like a Ford Fiero...

The Fiero wasn't really all that "shitty". It pissed alot of the big cheese at GM off when the Fiero was posting better performance numbers than the Camaro. How could a lowly sister company have a car better than one of the parent company's flagship cars like the Camaro?!?!?! GM killed off the Fiero to protect its Camaro.

The Fiero was a performer, but if you have ever owned one...they are a nightmare. Lots of problems and a lot of work. I would take a Miata over a Fiero any day of the week.

I saw that chase this morning. Dude almost got away, too, but then it looked like he clipped another car, lost control, and met the jersey barrier pretty fast.

It is amazing how well that car held up with a crash like that.

I gotta watch the video again to be sure but that crash didn't really seem all that bad. It's not like he went striaght into it. The angle of the impact wasn't also so much to creat alot of damage.

The Fiero also did a good job of killing itself off too. Catching fire, constantly in the shop for mundane repairs.

Didn't someone come out with a LS1 swap for them?
