Where to take the car for TSB and reflash....
I am getting my car back today and want to take it in for what I suspect is the fuel pump issue. I also have a recall emissions i think to take care of. I have more substantial mods now and was wondering if there were any mod friendly dealer's around the metro area. Any one tech I should ask for. I will pull off everything and take it in, but would prefer not too. At the least I will pull my exhaust and CAI. I have a boost gauge wired in so thats gotta stay. At McDonalds they said nothing about my BOV last time they did the Clutch TSB. They did it in one day, so liking them but do not need my warranty voided.......Also have the SU Rear Engine mount. Any suggestions would be appreciated.......Greg

What issues are you ahving that lead you to believe its got to do with the fuel pump TSB?
Josh swears on Sil Terhar
I wouldnt recommend getting the reflash, as pretty much EVERYBODY who has had it has reported a decrease in power (if its the recall reflash, I believe there are 2 separate ones). You should be fine on the exhaust and the rear engine mount, if its a mazdaspeed CAI, you should be ok, if its anything else, take it off. Boost gauge is cool too
I say f the dealer
Im sure Josh will chime in on this and get you a contact at Sil terhar

Well I have a rough idle when warm, drops down to around 600RPM, then back to over 1000RPM. Get a vibration of course when its at the bottom of the drop then it catches itself and settles for like 30 seconds then does it again. I think there is a Idle control module or something that could be bad(read in other forums about this).
It idles perfect when it is cold. I am also seeing a power loss sometimes when I get on it(like when getting on the highway). The car usually rolling in 2nd gets up and feels strong then the shift to 3rd and feels like it just fell on its face. I can hear the Turbo screaming but not much pull. I have heard the Computer will start closing the throttle plate when there is a lack of fuel......so that is my assumption of the problem, not enough fuel pressure.....I DON'T KNOW......My VIN falls into the TSB....I know a couple guys have had this done and said it felt much better after.......Then I might just pony up the dough for the CP-e Pump you have.......But free upgrades seem a better solution as I want my Top Mount next. sounds like the TSB for the pump....if your vin does in fact fall in line, they will run tests on your car, and if it fails the certain criteria, they will install the "new and improved" fuel pump.... first things first, gotta either strip the mods and go in, or wait for slacker Josh to chime in about the mods, see if his'homey hookup will help..
