So BBC and NBC decided to make a Top Gear USA after the success of Top Gear UK. No, you won’t hear the voices Clarkson, Hammond, and May. The hosts of Top Gear USA will be Tanner Foust, Adam Carolla, and Eric Stromer.

It's going to be hard to live up to the original BBC production but we'll see how this turns out.

Tanner Foust, a renowned driver in the drifting, rally, and time attack scenes had a very good year in 2007 having won the X games Rally SS along w/ the Formula Drift championship, Tanner has also hosted a variety of automotive related programs on SpeedTV.

Adam Carolla, an avid car collector, radio show host, and all around smart ass should bring some comic relief to the program. The e30 M3 and BRE-Replica Datsun 510 in his car collection gives him street cred in our book.

Eric Stromer, former construction buidling company owner, DIY home improvement tv host and soap opera star rounds out the hosts for the show. We have no idea who this dude is but should provide some beef-cakiness for the ladies.[/b]

I don't think is going be the "Top Gear" we know from the UK.

Has anyone heard what channel its going to be on? Also is it going to be a eveing show or Sat/Sun morning show? These all play factors into how well it does.

It will be hard to live up to the UK Top Gear. It may have some potential, but depends on the writers. The UK show is funny, witty, and the challanges may it interesting for someone who is not a car fan. These guys may be pretty funny together but we will have to see. I would have to agree that the time slot will play a huge role in its success. It would almost have to be prime time on a Sat or Sun.

I think the reason Top Gear UK does so well cause it's sponsors don't influence the cast members. If anyone watchs/reads Car and Driver, Motor Trend, Auto Week, etc... A Ford Escort is a great car. That's cause they don't want to lose Ford as a sponsor.

^^Yep, and how many millions of dollars does Ford pay NBC to advertise with them? The show is going to suck. It's just a question of how bad will it suck.

Yeap. They did a top 100 car battle/bracket. Kinda like college backetball finals. I nailed it... Ferrari 599 vs. the Chevy ZO6 and of course Detroit writers picked the ZO6. When everyone in this plantet know a Ferrari 599 GTB is a much better car both on and off the track.

I very much agree. If one season at all....

Tanner Foust is the only "host" of this presumed fail boat that i like. Its sad that i had no clue in the world who Eric Stromer was. I may be judging the book by its cover, but i think its going to fail.
