I thought I was crazy this morning when I couldn't get the recirc fitting to fit through the cover on my new HKS SSQV black edition bov. I finally called Street Unit this morning and I think they thought I was crazy and said they would call me back. After 3 hours and not hearing back I ran over to Josh's to show him what I'm talking about and sure as shit, it doesn't fit. Called SU again and this time they said that they just discovered this morning (probably when I called) and HKS just discovered that there is either a machining error in the cover (too small of an opening) OR a machining error in the recirc fitting (too big). I believe they said that HKS was going to have to likely recall the fitting or the Limited Edition Black SSQV's.

Anyone else have one successfully setup to recirc?

Ahhhh...the great news just keeps coming! I was planning on doing this before the shows this weekend.

I don't understand why they would have this problem... aren't these just HKS SSQV's powdercoated Black? So obviously there is some new design...

Im gonna take mine apart tomorrow and see if the recirc fitting fits on there okay....ill let you all know what i find out

I'm not running the Black edition....I'm no help.

I've got mine but they forgot to send the o ring and screws for the flange, so it's still sitting in its box. I saw that some people were having to make a small adjustment for the recirculation fitting...

Spoke to Kyle at StreetUnit again today. He said after they notified HKS of my complaint, HKS in fact discovered there is a problem. I got a "congratulations you're the first person in the country to discover the recirc fitting for these limited editions don't fit" So I asked if HKS was going to send me a prize or something (had to be a smartass right?) HKS is recalling all the fittings as they are 1mm to large and sending out new one's that will fit.
Seems weird that with all the MS3 folks I hear are buying these, nobody is running them recirc to have found this out?

SU said no idea on how long it will take for them to come in. They're going to send me one as soon as possible with the return packaging for the other. So I have this sweet valve sitting in my trunk until then.

I just now posted in another thread about this, but I just got back from Tommys' we installed my hks bov using the new flanges he just got in and changed my bov from VTA to recirc....the recirc fitting went on no problem...so this issue may just be with certain black bov's?? not sure.....

Weird. Glad yours fits and I guess the problem is only with a certain batch of valves? Tommy offered to take a look at it and I suppose you could machine the cover to make it fit.
