Are these with the larger displacement engines? Or are those still on the drawing boards?

those should still have the 13b in them the 16x is still being worked out

Yeah they still have the 13b in them. The 16x which i think theyre reffering to as the 2nd Gen Renesis isnt planned for release till 2010

I had to take my car to Mazda in Motor City for a CEL. Figured i'd walk the lot and see what was new. There they were fresh off the truck. Hopefully they'll have em cleaned up today when i go back for my car with its new... gas cap

So besides an Ass lift, Face lift, wheels...what else is new about the 09??

they have been retuned. Supposedly a little more Grunt to them as the gearing is better. But we will see... They also have a "floating red line" so when the car is cold its low but as the temp comes up it gets higher. and some little things on the inside. Plus the sweet new R3 package.

A few changes, better engine lubrication, 4.77 gears, slightly reworked interior (no more make-believe oil gauge), etc, etc. Nothing earth shattering. Definitely nothing enough to make me say...ooooh, I need to trade in my '04!

here. What sucks is Blue only comes in the R3 package. Why they made a package above GT I don't understand. Everything the R3 has the GT should.

I'm with you I'm really not yay about it. The front bumper has become more Bleh to me, the Side vents look gay, and I still can't live with those tail lights. They look stock. I love how everyone asks if my tailights are aftermarket and the face they make when I tell them they are stock.
4.77's sound good to me. Ugrade here I come. That is of course if Josh will let my brother test one out on I-25 next to mine one day.
