Getting a speed 3 in about 3 weeks, want to know where I should get the car tinted. Im not sure what the dealership would charge, but i guess it would be higher than a local shop. Im currently in Boulder. Also, anyone know off hand what the tint laws in Colorado are?

Eclipse tinting for sure. Great prices, great quality, great work... great everything. And from Boulder his shop is only either a short hop onto US36 or a short drive east on Arapahoe.
Welcome to the club and congrats on the MS3. Im in Boulder while up in school. I will actually be back in Boulder for the day today, Wednesday, if you want to meet up for a little gtg ect.

Last time I checked, 30% is legal in Colorado. I got 20% in my Mazda 6s and it looks great, just enough tinting so people can't really see you well but not too dark to see at night... for me at least.

I have 18% in my car and it's just right for me.. but also to dark for authority. I have asked a couple police officers about my tint and both said it's to dark. (good thing they were friends. lol)

darkest legal in this state is 27%. Most of us run illegal in the range from 14-18%. Its dark but I have yet to be confronted about it by the police, and I have been pulled over more times than I can count. Usually if they can see through it then they don't care, because it doesn't present a danger to them if they pull you over (ie, they can see what you are doing in the car). Best practice with dark tint is IF you get pulled over, make sure to put your drivers window down completely and turn on your interior lights before he even makes it out of his car...they can easily see in that way even without the huge spotlight they have on you.

lol, had lots of tint done to say the least. I'd probably be safer in the tint industry with this economy hehe, IT is cut-throat right now..

Wow. I have 5% all the way around. Don't really have too much trouble seeing out of it at night but I guess I'm just used to it. Cops must really hate me. None have said anything to me yet.
