So im at one of the local mazda dealers and they say they dont negotiate off the msrp of the speed 3's because its the end of the production and they are hard to come by. My question is what kind of deals were you able to work with the dealers on the grand touring speed 3, whether price or extras?

Thanks

You were at a dealer at 10:45 PM on a holiday? And they wouldn't cut you a break?

When I bought mine last March, they were a lot harder to come by than they are now. I fought my hardest fight, and I could only manage $300 off MSRP (07 GT w/ Nav). And I'm a hard bargainer.

yeah, I wouldn't expect much. They are a limited run car and your in the final year or half-year (2008.5 model) so I wouldn't count on much. If your trading in though you can see if they will throw a little more money your way, or maybe give some sort of discount or coupon...maybe 500 bucks or something

First went to Stil Ter Har and really liked them, unfortunatly they were unable to find a speed....anywhere. Go mazda called me with one they had on the way in to town, metro grey grand touring. Wasnt overly impressed with go like I was with Stil Ter Har, but my cars on its way,

I went to gateway mazda and got mine. Sil-Terhar was giving me some straight-retarded trade in values so I stopped trying there. But other people have had good luck with them and I will probably buy parts from there..its closest for me.

Burt may be a drive from Boulder, but from my experience its worth the drive. They are great guys and gals there.

I'll never shop at Burt again.

I stop in for the hell of it, to check out a speed 3. The salesmen tells me they wil go $500 off of sticker, and the manager told me he'd give me blue book for my trade. So I show up 2 days later, they said they *might* be willing to come down to sticker because I was a repeat customer(nevermind that last time I was there, I paid cash). Then they offered me $2800 under the average trade value from KBB. The manager made it a point to me that taking a speed Miata in on trade was a horrible idea, and they didn't really want to buy it. They said they *might* be able to find a dealer in Arizona who would do $2000 under blue book trade in value.

I went to Mcdonald Mazda, they gave me $300 under book for my trade, and knocked $500 off of sticker on the car. And they were smart, they made a it a point to tell me how much they wanted to buy my Miata. So I paid cash for the difference, and went home happy.

Mind boggling that the local dealer would treat a repeat cash customer that way. Telling me a lie about what they will do for me is one thing, but being told that buying my perfect Mazdaspeed Miata trade is a pain in the ass? Next time I want to buy a car? I won't visit Burt. I would suggest Mcdonald mazda all the way.

Sil Terhar Mazda is an unknown in my book, but I'm not a fan of their Ford store after a Saleen purchase experience. Gateway Mazda is on Havana, and has nice salesmen, but Havana is a bad luck street so I would never consider buying a car off of it.

Dealers don't look at cash customers as anything special. They would rather finance you because they get some % off the back of the loan, 1/4 to 1/2 point if not more.

I don't see a backend $300-$600 profit as a legitimate reason to treat a customer that way. They should have just blatantly told me they didn't want my business. It would have saved me an hour.

Gateway is alrigth to buy a car from. They know how to deal or don't depending on how you look at it. Anyway their Service sucks. So if anyone buys a car from there when you get the car off the lot never look back. :)

Well...in that case, that's what made them a bad place to shop at.
