After a brief search, it seems to be related to cars running CAIs. Any ideas on why I'm getting one now after having the CAI for around a year? I've got the CP-E Standback running 16.1 lbs, and I ran ~95 octane at the track today. Any insight or help would be appreciated. Thanks :)

I jacked Richs thread. :D Sorry.

I think it's probably coils. Mebe plugs. But the stock coils on the 8 suck. I think it's time to upgrade them.

you're just looking for any excuse to upgrade arent you?
what kind of gas were you running?[/b]

Only what I'm supposed to put, 91. Think it was bad? I'll have Mazda take a look at the coils and plugs when I get time to take it in.

The plugs are kinda a pain to get to. I can do it but why when it's still under warranty?

Rich I wouldn't worry too much about it see if it comes back. with CPE you can easily add fuel at idle no problem.

I've had the chip about 2-3 months now....something to consider though. I'll email CP-E about it tomorrow....just data logged for about 30 mins.

The CEL is still on, but I imagine it will go away if I reset the ECU. I'll talk to Jordan to be sure it's nothing serious. Most ppl that have the same CEL have an Injen CAI, while I have the CP-E one.

I've thrown that CEL dozens of times its not a crazy crazy issue unless your at like 15+ AFR then it'll be scary.

Rich, I had that CEL last week, Jordan said that it was due to the fuel pump, and that is why they have the TSB on the fuel pump reflash... He told me no worries, the standback can correct it easily, plus with the upgraded fuel pump, it shouldnt ever happen anyways.... use a dashhawk to clear the codes..
