Im looking to install the racing beat cat back exhaust for my DX, yet Im not to sure if my exhaust follows the same route as the es. here is what i recieved from racing beat:

Mike,

I checked with the Mazda electronic parts catalog, they list several different part numbers for the various part numbers for these applications. Unfortunately we don't know by the part number if there is indeed a significant change to the actual part from PN to PN, you would need to conduct a visual inspection of each component to make a comparison. From the drawing in the parts catalogs it appears that the DX and LX components are very similar from the cat converter section reward, but we can't confirm from these simple drawings if the parts are indeed interchangeable.

Im wondering if anyone has installed the racing beat cat back on their DX or possibly know if it will work. Thanks in advance.

I hope so, its my next "big mod". What would be some good headers to couple with that? the only I have seen so far are OBX and ive heard a mixed bag of reviews on those.

The OBX is a decent header. I have it. There really aren't too many readily available options. Try to buy from Ken @ Protegegarage.com. Do the mechanical CEL fix so you don't get a check engine light.
