This is true. But it depends on which install you are talking about. With the CAI on the old 3, we (not josh) did manage to drop one of the MAF bolts down into the under tray... but that was not a big deal because the ms CAI came with its own "cooler" MAF bolts.
And the Cobb SF Intake install was flawless and took no more than 30 minutes.
