Haha, see this is my point. You say they only look for certain things, but you are forgetting the point, that any modification can technically be a distraction, therefore making it a hazard, therefore illegal. If you can't have a two inch crack in your windshield, than you can't have a bunch of stickers. Underglow is a distraction to other drivers, so technically any body modification could be too. I'm not saying anyone will get in trouble or will ever be messed with. But the fact remains, any cop could see something and find it unsafe, therefore illegal.
Its the same concept as the first ammendment, freedom of speech. Well okay, go to a cop and say, "Fuck you and your family, go eat a bunch of donuts piggy." Your not threatening him in any way, and you should be allowed to express your opinion, but he will beat your ass and take you to jail. The system is and always will be flawed...
