What kind of deal did he get you? I'm wondering if the dealers are more willing to let these cars go for a better price than what I paid back in March.

And why would you guys put a BOV ahead of putting in a CAI, especially knowing the gains this car gets from the CAI? A BOV isn't a power adding modification.

I paid msrp. My first performance mod will by a CAI. I am seriously considering a Cobb SF intake. Whats everyones opinion of it? http://cobbtuning.com/products/?id=3483
my only concern about it is the fact its in the engine bay and the MS3 gets real hot under the hood imo... at least in comparison to my old 3 which never felt like it got as hot.

Brandon might agree with me on this I'm not sure but I really don't think other than at idle you will have issues with the heat from the engine bay. I'd say it will be a few degree's warmer but thats really it. You could even remove one of your air flow reflectors that are on the grill and have it shoot air straight at the SRI instead of blowing on the TMIC only. But I heat wise I don't think the SRI will have any issues.

Alot of the guys who purchased the Cobb SRI on Mazda3Forums have been very pleased with it. And as Josh said the heat under the hood is not that much of a difference to affect an SRI compared to a CAI. Go for the Cobb Andrew, I'll be getting one also.

As far as differences between a SRI vs CAI on a Speed3, shoot Jake (Spatty) a PM, he's had both on his car, ask him what he thought of both.
