I'm with you, Eric. I don't hard-launch almost at all just because I don't want that rear diff to break. I heard a "clunk" in the back end twice this week when starting forward in 1st gear and I almost peed myself both times.
I think it was just my tires being stuck to the pavement, though. LOL.[/b]
don't worry about it both you and firestoned. andrew, josh, dave, and joe have all ridden in my car while racing and I launch harder than you would ever even think of on the street. don't get me wrong, I hold my breath but I put it through the ringer, no holding back. I plan to go ahead and tie strap my diffs until I shell out the money for the upgraded mounts. my 60 foot best is 1.87 and that is with no diff help and the rear motor mount. don't worry so much guys it can hold better than you think. (knock on wood).
