I seriously do I really hope they fixed whatever issues they had when I had mine because it was a PITA. I don't want anyone to go through that crap.

i put the secondary map to 18psi, and my primary to 16, today on the way home from work, and later to the store and back, I had it on the seconday, and it pulled almost exactly 1psi more in every gear, 3rd and 4th holding at 16, 5th and 6th holding at a scary 18...sometimes 19. The car ran great, no issues, besides the spikes, which will be fixed Monday, Im just paranoid I guess as to whats too much to push with my mods, Ive heard the intercooler allows for 2-3 extra psi from stock,
I will datalog, but what parameters besides knock should I log?
Eric if you wanna up boost datalog while you do it. Make sure you log knock spark and it'll let you know if your knocking in yer engine if you have no knock yer finefor the most part...

If I remember correctly, Brandon posted some math on the subject back in the MHM days. Stock boost is 15.6 lbs, and with our small compressor housing the turbo cannot flow enough cfm's above ~16 lbs. Also, a turbo will push whatever boost you've told it to no matter the elevation. Only problem is, as the air gets thinner, the faster your turbo has to spin to meet the same boost pressure.

Your correct thats why i said 18 is like pushing 20psi of boost.
I was lazy earlier and didn't go into the 18lbs eric was wanting to push. Yes he can push it will he get a huge increase in power probably not. Will it possibly do more harm than good? eh might wear the turbo down more than normal but nothing crazy. If he were to run meth / alch setup he could push 18lbs no problem and probably see a nice gain. I was just in a rush earlier so didn't have time to post a ton of info.
But at Sea Level it is okay to push 18lbs there's plenty of MS3's doing it with MBC's and dynoing proving it is a significant increase in power.

i guarantee there is a big difference between 16 and 17psi, im not sure i believe that the cfms are max'd out at 16

Roadrnr06 was my leased 2006 Speed 6 which was purchased on 06-06-06. I have many fond memories of that car, and will be keeping my original profile as a memory of the great car that I once had.
My new user name is Roadrnr09 and showcases my new 09 Subaru WRX which I am very happy to have purchased as a replacement vehicle : )
