I've decided to go against a time sert since all the mechanics ive called either said they had no confidence to do it or they didnt have the right tools or that my aluminum pan would crack. So I called up Mile High Honda and they said that if I bring in my own oil pan, gasket and oil (the filter is a week old so that doesn't need to be replaced), the labor cost for everything would be $232 which I think is pretty reasonable. Weirdly, the guy at talked to knew the guy that talked to me at Kuni Honda and he seemed stunned that they would charge me $700 for the job rather than the $550 they charge.
Chromal, if its possible, could I buy that oil pan from you sometime this week? If you could, that would be great!! I've tried a couple of recycled auto parts stores and they didn't seem to have any pans for me for under $80 and I'm trying to save every cent possible since I got kinda screwed over... Thank you!
