Dude, I would say something ASAP. I guarantee that if they bust your car screwing around, then you are sunk. I would be pissed.

I took Ash's car in for a warranty item and when I went into the garage to pick it up, the entire pick up area stunk of burned clutch. And I mean nose burning! I asked Clark who the hell needed to learn how to drive a clutch? But he wasn't sure who drove it in. The next time I was there, I just reminded them that I would appreciate it if they drive the car without burning the clutch this time. They were cool and haven't had any issues since.

I wouldn't let some douche bag joy ride ANY of my vehicles. It only takes one to ruin the rep of the other great techs they have.

I would say something for sure. I never let anyone drive my car. When I had my exhaust done I stood there and watched them put it on the lift. The guy babied it and stalled it 3 times, lol. Gotta love a lightweight flywheel.

And that's the VERY reason you should bring it up. Let them know your connections AND that we have a direct connection with Mazda of North America. That'll surely get them to behave.

It's not what you drive, it's how you drive it.

I thiink you should jsut let clark or whoever it is there that is the boss that is cool with all your mods know. Just tell him hey I like coming coming here and you're all cool but you should have a talk to (Point at tech) about hot roding customers cars and treating the customers property with respect.

It's not only a serious problem in your eyes but should be a serious problem in the dealerships eyes. If anything had happened it would fall on the dealership. They would be liable and there could well be a possible law suit on their hands if they wreck or break a customers vehicle while "miss-treating" it.

4doord wrote:Sorry to hear that Eric, look really good customers are hard to keep nowdays so talking to the service manager would be the first thing I would do. No matter if they hook you up or not, you have a pretty big voice with the croud you hang out with and that dealership would stand to lose buisness because of it. At my shop, good or bad customer, I always listen and take care of the customer (they are always right), because any negative coments affect their buisness. They should at least talk to their tech to let him know that it isnt ok and he could possiblely lose his job over this. I mean nobody accept the dealership would know if this guy has a history of this. Good luck

And this is why I only let Dave and his guys work on my car :)

You should say something. Don't ask for money off just state that you are disappointed with the level of respect shown towards your car and that it is unnecessary and unprofessional.
