Was commuting to Boulder and back last week. Got 33.4 MPG using the Hwy 93 route. I also saw 4 cops north of Golden on my Thursday AM commute... all parked along the area before getting to the dump.[/b]

Best way to get to Boulder imo. Every time i go back to Boulder after being at home (highlands ranch) i take the "back way." Such a relaxing smooth drive at night. Although don’t get anywhere near 33.33mpg’s.. lol Nor do i see many cops... i did once last year deserve a fatty ticket for 65 in a 40 on 93. The cop was sitting in one of the very dark areas and hit me with laser, i saw his brake lights light up and i thought i had, had it... luck for me he never came after me. Man was i lucky.

With my commute from the Springs to Denver I average pretty much bang on at 30mpg. I can drop that a couple mpg if I drive aggressively. I did a test this past summer where I used cruise control and tried to never deviate my speed. No deceleration no acceleration once I was up to speed. (I was commuting at 5am so there was almost no traffic). Drove 5 over the entire way and with cruise control over a 1 month period I average a constant 40+ mpg. (Just barely 40+ like 42 on my best tank and usually right around 40) Driving the same route, same speeds, same methods but using my foot to regulate speed vs cruise control I was only averaging about 33mpg over a 1 month period.

Interesting eh?

It seems like adding Boulder to my route ups the MPG, but lessens the days between fill-ups.

29.5 was my highest...and that was about 90% highway driving in the mountains. In my everyday driving I am at about 20-23.

I get that in my '92 Miata! Not close to that in the 8 though.

Since the AP firmware update I've been peeking at the AVG MPG during most my trips and for the last 3 days or so I've been averaging 18 - 22 MPG at the end of every trip.

Hmm... now granted I have only run 4 tanks of gas through it, but I averaged about 30 on the first 3 and got up to 33 on the last one. Could be a fluke, but who knows- we will see after a few more tanks...

Actually since I've Reflashed to MM's map I havn't really gotten on it much. It's running lean after 6k so I'm taking it easy until I get new maps from MM. All my trips though have consisted of city driving and lots of stop lights. The highest speed limit I've hit was 45 and that's a brief stretch from Wadsworth and Jewell to Wadsworth and Morrisson.

Don't know what GJ is like. Speed limits and traffic so I don't know. But I did calculate 13 MPG once and 25 MPG All higway.

Greek, I wish I could reflash something. I'm stuck with metered fuel leaks for now, and you can't just re-jet when the weather changes. SOmeday soon, when I get some cash.

We have been getting, or I should say my wife (non aggressive) is getting on average about 31 mpg. Mostly traveling open roads/highway without much traffic.

I've been getting around 25 mpg. My commute is 90% of the miles I put on it, and it is half down Colorado Blvd, and half I25.

I'm itching to get the 30+ mpg, but I almost never get a tank where I'm totally (or even mostly) highway. Oh to dream.
