I took a look at mine and after a year and 2 months they look fine. However if you know what i look like it should not come as a big surprise.. i am not the biggest guy around, so i suppose that could be why.

I have the cloth seats, although it is a MS6 not MS3, and I am very much so a big guy. No problems here, no premature deflation of the foam, no cloth wrinkles or anything like that.

My MS3 has the exact same wearing going on with the driver seat on the left side. Kind of sucks but what can you do.

My seats look good, no problems. I've got the GT, the leather is still looking good

I actually talked to the dealer about this and unfortunately, they said unless it actually rips, there is nothing they can do.... :( They did say they can take pic, document it, and send off to Mazda. Even if they replaced the seat or fixed it, I assume it will just do the same thing again. I know, sucks....

yeah, and it def seems to be isolated to the MS3. I have seen pre-08 leather MS3 seats do the same thing, and actually it looks worse so hopefully the alcantara holds out better for the GT owners.

I'm not sure if this well help, it is kind of just a shot in the dark, but sometimes you can use a blow dryer to manipulate foam. I know for couch cushions, you can do this and it will pull any kind of moisture out. Not sure if it has anything to do with that, but you could try it just to see. My dad had a second job when I was really young doing interiors and uhpolstry and it was something he would do to work with seats and what not. Maybe it will help, just thought I would throw it out there.

thanks, was actually going to give that a shot. I bet you are right, that its likely the foam underneath and not the fabric.
