Congrats on the new ride! I wonder if '08 owners are ticked off with the rather significant rework for the 09s.

If you change your mind, I'd take your TMIC off your hands ;)

Out of curiosity, why are you selling as is? Your target market for selling a modified car whole is pretty small. Sell it to a dealership and they won't care what it has on it. Might as well go back to stock and let others benefit.

I'm only kidding...congrats randy!! You'll come show off at a meet won't you?

He isn't the first one lol.

To the OP, how do you like the new WRX? I drove an '08 and wasn't impressed... but then I heard about all the updates for '09, the extra 41hp (from 224hp to 265hp), sportier suspension, stickier tires, revised steering rack, more aggressive exterior, ect... all I have to say, is that anyone that bought an '08 WRX must be kicking themselves pretty hard when the '09 came out lol. How does it compare to your former MS3?

I'm with Tom on this one, it's a good idea to part the car out prior to selling it. I've had a few modified cars over the years, and have found it's always easier to get rid of them when they're stock... not the mention the additional cash you would make by parting out. I recouped about $6000 when I parted out my old '04 WRX (forums make parting out cars easy), whereas if I would have traded it in or sold it private party, there's no way anyone would have given me close to an additional $6000 on top of what it booked for.

A lot of people also don't want to buy modified cars, just to avoid getting a car that might have been abused/warranty voided ect. You'll likely make selling easier on yourself, as well as make more cash by putting the car back to stock & selling off your aftermarket parts. Just my $.02

Randy!1 Why did you decide on an '09 wrx? What made you want to get rid of your speed exactly? Other than the awesome smoking turbo.. But still, congrats on the new car and being one of the first with an '09 wrx in colorado. You definitely need to give us a side by side comparison of the two.

So you want to trade me your hks for my stock valve :D

So far I'm loving it, cant wait for some snow!! I can tell a major difference in handling over the 08 WRX (I've driven my brothers a little bit) as far as power and handling. The body looks wayyyy better than the 08 as well. Everything just feels more solid than my Speed did when it was new. Some little things are bothering me, it needs a motor mount, short throw shifter and a CAI for sure. Im thinking of leaving the stock springs on there for the winter, then go with the Cobb's in May or so.

As far as parting out the car goes, I think I am going to try to get it back to stock before i sell it. Im getting the turbo replaced right now. So look for some stuff for sale in the next week or so. Lucky for me the BOV flange is the same on the WRX as the Speed3, so I am keeping my HKS BOV.

ETS 3.5" TMIC, Mazdaspeed CAI, TWM Short throw shifter, TurboXS Downpipe and Racepipe.

I wonder if the downpipe would fit a Speed6? If so I might be interested.

I'm interested in you TMIC and Short Shifter. PM me with what you'd want for them or I'll just watch for your post.
