We are glad you found us and we encourage anyone to speak up. As none of us so far have experienced the issues you're concerned with, the weekly Sonic meet is probably your best bet to compare vehicles. We also have vendor reps at Burt and Sil-Terhar dealerships that would be able to discuss your issue with a mechanic before taking the vehicle in.

Thank you everyone for your input. I'm sorry I can't keep up with replies to everyone. As I said, I don't type very quickly; and the responses are now coming in faster than I can respond to each personally. I will make every effort to show up at the Sonic to meet whoever else shows up, as I live very close. Thanks again, and If anyone else has a response, I would love to read it. I can read much more quickly than I can type.
With the weekend fast approaching, the best place to guarantee a good turnout of other MS3's is going to be at the weekly sonic meet in Lakewood. The sonic is off Alameda.

I personally have never heard of such problems from any MS3, let alone a brand new one. From any of the forum boards this has never to my knowledge been discussed. I would have to agree with the others and say your best course of action is to take it to the dealer and have one of the techs look it over and maybe ride with you and compare between yours and a new one on the lot.
I would help but am not stock so the comparison wouldn't be fair/right.[/b]

Your welcome bud. Sorry i can't be of more help with this problem, but like i said its new to me. Hope we can get this all straightened out for you. Swing by Sunday if you can, maybe we can diagnose it better in person. Oh right, we usually get there (sonic) by about the latest 7pm. So by 7 there should be at least a handful of us.

Yeah, both the MS3 and the MS6 have fuel pump problems at high RPMs. I believe there is a member on Mazda6club.com that sells a replacement fuel pump that fixes the issue.

I believe so, yes. But on a 2008.5, fresh off the lot, that should have been addressed already.

You mention the dealership mentioned CMZC? As far as dealerships go, Burt and Sil-Ter-Har are the most CMZC friendly shops around. I've had my cars (RX-8 and my 6i) at both places more than once with no issues at all. Never a complaint from the service folks. I've been to Gateway as well, with no issues. If you placed your faith in a specific dealership to spend a large sum of money there, you should also trust them to look at your vehicle if you think you have a problem. Worst thing that will happen at this point is they tell you there isn't a problem, they won't put you on a "watch" list or anything sinister.

i belive the resolve to your issue is, your taking your oil cap off, that is WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG lol oh yah wrong, considering your engine is turbo charged and a sealed system that is going to release pressure, we had taken your post as blow by as it was like some back pressure, but what your doing is causing a loss of pressure when your taking it off, and your also letting contaminates(spelling) into your sealed system and causing a huge problem for your self in the future, but as the problem with you losing power as i have been told your just losing power as the rpms go up or its something more serious but for this issue take it in. OH and for the oil spatter u saw FROM WHEN YOU TOOK YOUR CAP OFF lol hahahaha uhm its from the pistons going up and down pushing oil back and fourth so yah dont take the cap off its there so you can put OIL IN not watch it spray on you. i hope this helps you in some respect please dont find this rude but more informative.....

Big 2nd. What you described is not blow by, it was you releasing the positive crank case pressure….
Blow by is common in all FI cars. It will always show up in the BPV, up-pipe, and IC intake. Completely normal is you find it in those places. That's why people add a catch can to a FI vehicle.
