Exhaust... Mazdaspeed 3...

Postby PerryMS3 » Thu Apr 02, 2009 9:14

Ok, for those of you that have the MS3 what have you done for exhaust...

I was looking at the TurboXS TBE but it seems that they are all on backorder for god knows when...

Also I understand if I do a race pipe including TBE that the car will need something to shut off the CEL?

I would assume the Cobb AP is the way to go for this? Does the dashhawk suffice?

I was also thinking about just doing the stealth kit and slapping a CBE exhaust on it later...

Dunno for sure... What you guys/gals think?

Test Pipe isn't going to give you a CEL as it's after all the O2 sensors. TBE possibly depending what you get. I have a CP-E CATLESS DP  and stock catback and no CEL.

You see a pretty noticeable difference in performance?

Speedracer only had a downpipe. With no cat. Says that an after market exhaust isnt necessarily efficient on the speed3. And yes, his car has plenty of pick up. Fastest in the state!
[font=Arial Black][size=100]Roadrnr06 was my leased 2006 Speed 6 which was purchased on 06-06-06. I have many fond memories of that car, and will be keeping my original profile as a memory of the great car that I once had.

My new user name is Roadrnr09 and showcases my new 09 Subaru WRX which I am very happy to have purchased as a replacement vehicle : )

With a test pipe, minimal but sounds a lot better. With a DP, absolutely.
