well i think i am going with the HKS. i like loud. thanks for all the help you all. the site http://www.protegegarage.com has one for 189. so i think i am going to get that one. again i thank you all.[/b]

The proto garage one may just be the universal valve without the adapter. That may be why its much cheaper than streetunit. The SU is the kit which comes with all that is needed for a direct bolt on and recirc.

You need this one:

http://siteground207.com/~protegeg/product...roducts_id=1258

Thats the direct bolt on kit. The cheaper one is only the bov, in which case you would need an adapter flange ect. The one in the link above is the whole deal.

All of those with any BPV (if you run it in recirc its still a bpv and not a technical BOV) swear that it hold boost better. So maybe for our 2.3 disi turbo it is worth it. From what iv read on the 3forums and from our own members the stock one leaks under high boost and an after market bpv such as the HKS does not leak and holds boost better which in turn results in maybe a small (very small) almost microscopic increase in power. But they say the car pulls harder with the after market valve. So yeah its worth it. I will be getting one in the next month or so.

189 seems cheap for a HKS super sequential blow off valve.... I didn't really read all of the above posts. so, maybe i missed something...[/b]

You did :P The piece for 189 is just the BOV itself, and not the needed attachments or other things. The link i posted is more expensive as it comes with everything he or any MS3 owner would need for a direct easy bolt on of the HKS.

It holds better than the stock and as good as any other out there.....and with the engine we have....you want a BPV or one that offers a recirc feature....ask anyone ...The engine does not run as well with the BOV feature...vent to air feature.....ANYONE CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG ABOUT THIS....
