OK, I've thought of a question Josh- where was your spare tire? I know you said traffic was heavy and changing it on the side of the interstate would have probably been even more dangerous, but it would have at least negated the need for a tow back to your apt (which unless you have AAA or something, probably wasn't cheap) and for you to borrow a wheel.

Hey Josh, Sorry about your mishap on the highway.
Glad to hear you're ok and that your Ride didn't sustain any more damage.
Here's to getting your Ride back on the road.

I don't carry a spare :) I carry a toolbox in my sparetire area. I have Business Members AAA which gets me towed 100+ miles I think free. I'd rather be stuck on the side of the road with a blown off turbo pipe that I can put back on than a flat tire and so on. I borrowed a wheel cuz i dont wanna run a spare.

First; He hit a 2x4 on a public hwy and not during track use. Also Coloradoians know that after a good winter there will be pot holes. All the more reason to invest is a higher quailty wheel.[/b]

That reasoning right there is why I didn't spend $2K+ on wheels.

BTW I was voicing my opinion as well. I'm just tired of the "I told you so" attitude of some people. Just a pet peeve I guess.

See, IMO, since Colorado has so many pot holes all the more reason to invest into 1 set of quailty wheels rather than replacing ever year. Like I first said I know the intial bite in the check book is hard but long term it pays off.

And I never said "I told you so." :7d3bf976:

Going on the second pot-hole-filled Colorado summer on my $150 Enkei wheels. No issues.
