My Turbo arrived yesterday. Here are the Specs:
Make: Precision Turbo
Part Number: PTB 305-5557B
Model Number: 5557E
Compressor Wheel: 2.165"Ind/3.000" Exd
Turbine Wheel: 2.555"Ind/2.227" Exd 76 Trim
Upgrade Features: Ball Bearing and PTE Billett Wheel with Revolutionary Aero Design
Rated: 535 HP
Description:
The new CEA line of HP Technology Series turbos from Precision Turbo & Engine are here. Taking the ground breaking technology of the Garrett GT turbos one step further, Precision has engineered these turbos from the ground up to be the most efficient, most powerful turbochargers the aftermarket has ever seen.
With newly designed aerodynamics, the PTE billet compressor wheels will provide even higher efficiency, faster transient response, awesome power, higher boost pressures (with less heat), and weight slightly less than a cast wheel of the same size.
Rated conservatively for about 535 crank horsepower by Precision. This turbo offers more power than a GT3071R with quicker spool.

Well progress hit a snag as with most custom builds its never as easy as you have envisioned. So..........there was not enough room to fit my turbo upgrade.
I'm currently redesigning the cooling system. Will have to relocate the radiator, upgrade the fan, and new brackets. And since I have to replace the hoses I decided to go with new polished SS radiator hoses.
Stay Tune.

I'm be putting together an inventory of all the excess parts soon.
My previous set-up used an aftermarket performance Side Mount Intercooler (SMIC) larger and more efficient than the stock SMIC. Mounts in the same location as stock.
Are you still interested or are you looking specifically for a FMIC?
Do a 3071 or 3076...hell throw on a GT40! haha jk
Im assuming you have some forged internals if ur going big?
Anyhow looks like a nice kit!
Good luck

The orginal owner of the kit was going with a GT40 lol. I think he is still trying to unload the GT40.

Yep. Long story zoom zoom boom. I got a crate motor from Streetunit.com forge block and internals. Nice and broke-in, almost 2 years and 10K on the motor.

Good luck
Thanks, hope to have it back on the road soon.

So this project was more complicated than invisioned. I started big but had to scale back. I didn't have enough room between the block and radiator. Tommy (Street Concepts) and I tried everything rerouting the cooling system, smaller radiators etc. In the end I switched out the custom exhaust manifold and downpipe with cut-off for a Steedspeed Mani and custom downpipe and dump pipe.
Currently break-in the turbo build with 13lbs boost at 300hp. The plan is to bring it back down to Street Concepts later this Spring to check everything out and tighten everything up before taking it back to MAC and turning up the boost and increasing horsepower. Next will be rehooking-up the Zex wet system.
