Wishful, but possible if the 5.0 is stock. I mean, there are at least two MS6 owners with over 400 BHP, putting them on par with the stang....and one of them is right down the road in Albequerque.

I still remember when people bought imports and modified them because it was cheap/they couldn't afford to buy the faster, more expensive domestic or higher end cars (i.e. turbocharging a $4k Civic to be as fast as a C5 Vette).

But nowadays it doesn't seem like many people mod this way anymore. They just want to be fast- whatever the cost. Also, there aren't many options to getting quicker than a Vette without spending nearly as much money...

That, and modding a civic quickly became associated with RICE (accurate or not), and I think the F&F crowd is dying off.

It sure does seem like my MS6 (for which I paid $21K) is a CHEAP car now, and already decently fast. And unlike a Vette, I can drive it in the snow. :)

I drove that car last night. It was like whoa. And it was even an automatic. Sucky thing was I didn't notice it had a traction control disable button until I brought it back.

Sort of. The RX-8 and MS6's generally don't. Mazda 3's, Miata, and their other vehicles do quite well. I think the high initial price of the MS6 layed waste to it's future as both a new or used car. That and slightly-spotty reliability record. Would be nice to see Mazda take another stab at an AWD platform like it though.

I would LOVE to have an AWD Mazda. I was looking at MS6s last year as a replacement for my Civic, but they were still too pricy for me. But I'd love to have one.
