Re: The S2000

Injectors commonly cause misfire codes on S2Ks. I had that on my old one. Threw the car into limp mode. I just had them professionally cleaned (by Havana Machine) and it was perfectly fine after that. And thankfully it's a pretty easy job getting them out and in.

Re: Project: Integra

That was my first thought, bolt the L brackets through the floor and forget using a bracket, but with the way the floorpan is shaped it's not really an option. Good call on chopping off the top brackets though. Seat is a Bimarco Expert and the brackets are OMP. I'm not sure I'd trust a seat being mo...

Re: Project: Integra

Sorta off topic but last weekend I did my first ever autocross at PPIR's Time Attack series, in my Civic though. I'm hoping to have this car ready to go for their next event in a few weeks. At some point last year I primered the car. Yes it is different colors...I don't understand how Rustoleum can ...

Re: Project: Integra

It's so much more solid. The rear end previously had a lot of slop. IMO, a mandatory replacement on these cars or any car with a similar design. Keep in mind, though, my car has close to 205K on the clock, and the RTABs had never been replaced. A year and a half later and I've hardly driven this thi...

Re: Fun drive next Saturday?

Hey, haven't checked here in forever, but I'd be up for a similar drive. Don't have a rotary anymore as you know, but that doesn't mean I won't nerd out over them  Bishop Castle is fun to visit and so is Canon City. An amazing pizza place there as I recall. I haven't been in years, last time I ...

Re: Project: Integra

Hey I'm alive! Started a new job which has kept me really busy. But I actually have made a lot of progress. Didn't take too many pictures yet, but I will this weekend, because I should have the car 90% back together. I don't like Honda or anything... https://scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xaf1/v/t1.0...

Re: 1967 Mercury Cougar

Badass. These have always been some of my favorite classic cars; I'd take one over a Mustang of similar vintage any day. (A '69-'70 fastback excluded :)) Any plans yet?

Re: '92 Miata: Budget Project Car

SM is still one of the cheapest, most competitive series you can get into. At least in the RM region. Nationally...not so much. With any spec class like that there will always be people with too much money to blow, spending $30K on a $3K car. Generally, those who have more money than talent :rolleye...

Re: Build thread

If you're gonna go with an R comp, as in a track-only tire that you won't drive in the wet, I wouldn't do R888s. I can't believe Toyo still makes those. The R888 was supposed to be a replacement for the RA1, and while it was better in the rain, it failed in the dry compared to the RA1. Maybe they've...

Re: Project: Integra

On the to do list...I haven't yet done the research on what kind of hub or quick release is best for the money. There are super cheap hubs (like <$20) on eBay, but I wouldn't trust that in an accident. An eBay quick release might be OK though. They're so cheap that if it sucks, I wouldn't have any b...

Re: Project: Integra

That's strange, works for me...I had that problem on another forum recently, though. Maybe Google changed something with the security on auto backup pictures. I just uploaded them elsewhere.

Re: Project: Integra

Made some good progress this weekend! I pulled apart the rear suspension. It was a lot easier than many cars I've worked on. With the trailing arm out, but the shock and lower control arm still in. The LCA needs new bushings, but an aftermarket pair with quality bushings can be had for ~$150, so I'm...

Re: HyPR hot summer days! AUG 22-23

Hmmm. If I get some better pads for the Si I might go. I'm not sure because I really need to spend that money on suspension instead. The shocks are absolutely blown, and something in the front end is making popping noises when I turn. Probably control arm bushings. Not like it's going to fall apart ...

I didn't even know you were still on the forum lol. Hah, I randomly visited earlier this year to see if anyone was still alive and saw that, yes, there are still people posting / chatting, and that it had changed over to the new forum name. Been back ever since :) Aero is something I'm really inter...

Re: Build thread

You need a more functional wing. I would suggest one that can be angle adjusted from the driver's seat. Go forth and spend! I was actually talking to a drift buddy and he was saying we should build a wing that attaches to the actual chassis instead of pushing down on the hatch like most do. So we m...
