Re: Build thread

Are you going to weld a big crazy bracket on the back of the seat like the one pictured? That's some good TIG practice!!

Re: Build thread

Interested in your integrated fpd idea. Send me some crude sketches when you get a chance. I'll be working nights and maybe do some drawing. The extrusion is cheap so we can try some different diameters and see what works. You are running 2 primary and 4 secondary injectors right?

Re: The Ẽfini 7

I'm running the MS3X kit from DIYAutotune. The OMP board I'm building is based on an arduino with a homemade stepper driver. It will compare engine load to OMP position and drive the OMP.

This needs updated.

Work on the house is wrapping up. All inspections are passed! So I'm back to getting this new ecu set up. Last I had tried to use it everything worked well for about 20 minutes then would get massive sync loss issues and I couldn't get it to sequence the turbos at all. Went back over my old work and...

Re: Build thread

The vents being at the back is what made me think it was an induction hood. They usually have the vents at the back to draw in high pressure air from where the windshield meets the hood. HPR track days are easy to get, the Emich one just has extra allure with the low price so it's madness. They usua...

Re: The S2000

That sucks about the fender, the Nitto tires I put on mine did that, I think due to how tall they were for their advertised size. Also the Nitto were super quiet in a corner until you had already pushed too hard, there was very little audible warning of slip. I hope the alternator solves the gremlin...

Re: Build thread

That motor mount bolt would worry me, I know you don't wanna pull the pan again but I would want to put a Timesert in there for peace of mind! I thought your hood was an "Induction style" I guess it's been awhile since I saw it. I guess either way it would cool the coils weather it is pull...

Re: The Ẽfini 7

My mounts seemed fine at install. I think it is just that the engine mounts all the way back on the rear iron and I'm seeing the coolant cap that mounts off the front of the cover plate so just a tiny flex in the engine mount is like a 1" bob at the front.

Re: The Ẽfini 7

Made the headlight covers red and put the new hood on. It's a RE-amemiya AD-9 replica made by CarbonMiata. Fitment it's really good. Had to trim for the tower brace and air box but that is typical with this style hood as the center sits very low. I like it so far but it is a little worrisome to be a...

Re: The Ẽfini 7

Well I finally got time to work on the car with the Body tech. It is back on the road and breakin' necks!! Needs some paint and I have a vented hood to put on. Just good to have it driveable again.

Re: A VW for DW

Well that didn't last long, the 1.8t notorious for oil sludging started knocking, flushed the oil and put fresh in (was only about 2k since last change on Mobil 1) and she made it 25 miles and started the bad knockety knock. Its gone now, hope I learned from that to better research a car before buyi...

Re: A new garage, hope I do it right.

Not installed yet, well into the wiring process, just some light fixture wiring left which is super tedious and requires so many trips up and down the ladder it is exhausting just thinking about it! Ordered tile today and water heater, money is running thin but I'm running out of things to buy also,...

Openers

The openers have arrived! Wall mount jackshaft operators. Somehow these things only draw 1 amp each!?!
