Re: 1998 Volvo V70 AWD
I decided to tackle a big job this past weekend. The full interior color change. I didn't complete everything but I did get most of it done. The dash, carpet, front seats, the trim from the rear seats forward, rear seat bottoms, and the center console. I still need to do some of the rear trim, the r...

Re: 1967 Mercury Cougar
Out of curiosity, do you have a manual (cable) choke? If so, is there anything special you need to do to get it to work? And is it required on cold start even in relatively warm weather? My dad's '68 F100 has one, and I'm not convinced it works properly. He seems reluctant to switch to a modern ele...

Re: 1998 Volvo V70 AWD
I picked up a black dash to swap into the car. The dash was the one thing I was missing complete the conversion to the black R interior. I still need to find a black dash top and center channel. I plan to replace the defrost selection motor when the dash is out. The heater is stuck on defrost right ...

Re: 1998 Volvo V70 AWD
I replaced the upper radiator hose on Friday. There was a slight seeping at the radiator that I didn't want to get worse. I'm glad I did it because there was cracking in the hose under the clamp. I'm also glad I replaced the lower hose when I did the motor swap because that one is much harder to do ...

Re: 1998 Volvo V70 AWD
I swapped out the rear sway bar to the iPD upgraded bar a week ago. One of the sway bar mounts on the old bar were completely broken. I already notice a difference in they way the car corners. I also replaced the fuel filter at the same time. Over the last few weeks, I've been trying to figure out a...

Exactly my thought. Don't forget full modern independent suspension.

Re: 1998 Volvo V70 AWD
I had the tires replaced over the weekend. I had pirelli cinturato p7 all season 215 55R16s installed on the 16" Meteors. Everyone wasn't kidding when they said the 302mm brakes just barely fit. I took the car in for an alignment today. The car is riding so much better now. I still need to repl...

Re: 1998 Volvo V70 AWD
I tried to drive the car on Tuesday morning and the alternator died. I barely made it home. I'm going to swap out the alternator with the one from the silver car on Friday. So much for installing the alternator that had the Bosch replacement sticker on it.

Re: 1998 Volvo V70 AWD
I'm going to try and get some more kinks worked out with the car today as well as start pulling stuff off the parts car to sell.

Re: 1998 Volvo V70 AWD
Looks like I'm going to have to get an Atmospheric Pressure Sensor. The one from the parts car was broken in the crash. I swapped out the main window switch as well as most of the dash switches. The windows switch was acting up and not always working. The dash switches didn't have working lights. I ...
