Re: My 1974 REPU Project
So yesterday Eric once again came up all the way from the Springs to give me a hand with some of the hard work on Project REPU! Thanks dude! I had the engine/trans combo sitting in the bed of the truck on the pallet it was shipped on, but needed to move the engine to my stand so we could do some mor...

Re: Build thread
I went to Snow Performance today and they told me they are releasing a new kit called Stage 4 in January and it uses a fuel table like mine. He said it will be about $500 but they give a $50-100 discount to locals along with 10% for military and I think he said another 10% for some other reason I d...

Re: My 1974 REPU Project
So I did some work on the twin turbos for my JDM engine. I've decided to keep the twins, for cost reasons and to make sure I can keep up with my time table, and I will run them non sequential to keep things simple. So I set out modifying the turbos for non seq. I obviously removed the turbo control ...

Re: My 1974 REPU Project
thanks! probably more than I'll ever need, but the touge monster fd with an NA 20b had me looking into them. seems like the turbo cars are fun, but the heat is an issue on track. get some good power and torque out of the three rotor, more linear throttle response and a good reliable rotary track ca...

Re: My 1974 REPU Project
Yes, there are two springs (longer and shorter) under the apex seal that allow the apex seals to move up and down in their groove on the rotor tip. What had happened in my engine was the apex seal was stuck in the down position, compressing the springs fully. This obviously reduces the height of the...

Re: My 1974 REPU Project
Little update: So after looking at the apex seals through the exhaust ports and finding them all in pretty good shape, me and Matt where talking and wondering why it wasn't making compression. I felt the seals through the ports and sure enough two of them weren't springy/moving and completely stuck,...

Re: My 1974 REPU Project
So I spent a few hours stripping down the long block to inspect everything I have. First task i wanted to accomplish was to pull the turbos and manifold to peak into the exhaust ports to check condition of the rotors and internals. http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q287/chickenwafer/A5B86A6B-31DB-4...

Maybe the company sent you the wrong engine on purpose because they know eBay would start the 30 day policy when you received it and not renew the policy, that way they would be covered by eBay.
The plot thickens LOL

Re: My 1974 REPU Project
I appreciate the offer! Luckily yesterday I FINALLY got a delivery: http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q287/chickenwafer/A3894A8A-C183-4D76-808D-8352AF647C04_zpsa7ngi8qg.jpg Turns out a pallet with a 13B-REW engine and trans nearly bottoms out a REPU's suspension LOL. Sucked, it got delivered when I...

Re: My 1974 REPU Project
Well, still no engine I originally paid for. I've sent several emails to the engine supplier and basically gotten a "we're working on it" and the claim since they mis-shipped my engine to PR that's why it's taking so long. They claimed it should be delivered tomorrow (9/27) or Wednesday (9...

Re: My New Project- FFR 818
Just went back and read most of this thread, what an amazing build and such a cool little car! Seriously cool.
Of course, now I'm wondering how difficult a 20B would be to fit in there
