Re: Project: Integra

Quoted weight you find online is around 2600 lbs. but that's not accurate. That is probably the weight that's on the door sticker, which is always higher than reality. There's not much information on the RS model, but it should be at least 100 lbs. lighter than the more-common LS (standard with sunr...

Project: Integra

I've talked about this on the chat pretty much since I've been back, but now it's a real thing :) Story time! Just picked up a 1992 Acura Integra RS. For those who might say, "why would you pick that car?" Easy, the '90-'93 Integra is much the same as the newer Integra that succeeded it, a...

Re: Time Attack in Pueblo Motorsports Park May 23 & 24th!

Cool, I'll email Jason. Oh, I guess by stock, I brought it up because I'll be on 280 treadwear tires, street pads, and worn-out shocks. The Si actually handles incredibly, no worries there. Decent power, too. I'm fast enough to be in TT, but, I wouldn't compete with a similar car that has race pads ...

Re: Welcome to Colorado Automotive Enthusiasts!

Hah, that's funny. I haven't met any of that group yet, but a good friend of mine has gone to a couple meets, and says they seem to be a like-minded group of car nuts. They have a weekly cruise night that I'm hoping to go to soon, so I might post how it goes---they also are a new group, and being th...

Re: Time Attack in Pueblo Motorsports Park May 23 & 24th!

Hey, good chatting with you about this. I'm looking into it more, since I've never driven with SCCA. Just trying to get an idea of how it works...where I'd fit, what I need to do, etc. I find their website incredibly difficult to navigate  From this page, sounds like I'd be in Club Trials (C...

Re: Welcome to Colorado Automotive Enthusiasts!

Thanks, but it didn't seem to do anything, at least for me...now I'm stuck with the smileys. LOL

Re: Welcome to Colorado Automotive Enthusiasts!

Heyyy good to see this place still exists! I was surprised to get some emails that threads I posted in years ago were replied to. Haha. Haven't owned a Mazda since I sold my FD back in 2012, so I (obviously) stopped posting, but I always enjoyed chatting here. Seems like most of the time we were tal...

Hey Ranger danger, that's twice you've abandoned me..nice to see you back! Ok, ok...you can have my whip for your budgeted $20k. But not a penny more- LOL, I saw you posted in here and knew this was coming. Don, I think I've ruled out a turbo 8, thanks though. At this point I'm probably just going ...

Looking for RX-7 (or turbo Miata or RX-8)

Hey folks, long time no see! Good to see this forum is still alive. I haven't been here much since I sold my FD, but recently I've been thinking about getting back into a Mazda. I've been stalking craigslist, but I thought I'd post here too. I'm mainly looking for a clean, street-able RX-7 (of any g...

I'll be out of town that weekend, but just wanted to suggest that you guys try Unser Racing instead of Speed Raceway. In my experience Speed typically doesn't like karts to be too close together...so they dial the kart power way down if you try "racing", or if there's even a minor accident. Whereas ...

I didn't realize the mustangs had such wide tires on them. The S has 255 35 18 on the rear. Front is 225 40 18 I believe (need to look). The wheels are a nice high quality set, but they do push the car out of a stock SCCA class. Woah, 255s? That's pretty big for an AP1 IMO. Stock for an AP1 is 225 ...

So I'm sort of looking for an FC again. Same criteria...doesn't need to look great, just needs to run strong, drive well, have a 5-speed (and preferably limited slip diff), and pass emissions. Not wanting to spend more than $2500 or so. I've been stalking craigslist but so far there's only one I'm r...

Sorry it took me so long to get these, I had a busy week. I should note that my insurance paid to fix this and it was a significant amount...so your results may vary depending on how much you want to pay. BUT I did want to show that they do good work :) Before: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-X_3...

Maybe a little far for you, but I recently had my S2000 repainted by a friend's shop up in Westminster called Auto Focus. It was hail damaged too. They had to replace every panel on the car and PDR the ones that couldn't be replaced. Then they repainted the entire thing, even though the insurance di...
