Re: New ride - 2022 Bronco 2 door

Thanks. Pretty happy with it, almost 2 months in. My son loves it. I think he'd prefer top off/doors off regardless of weather. Everything is back together now, but will probably at least pull the top back off when it warms up tomorrow.

Re: New ride - 2022 Bronco 2 door

Picked up the Bronco last night, 290 days after ordering it. It was subject to a bunch of issues...chip holds, shipping delays, but it's finally here. Since I ordered last year, I qualified for price protection. The MSRP has gone up $2k since I ordered, and is going to rise again for '23 models. 2 D...

Re: Ordered - 2022 Bronco 2 door

I like the Wildtrak, but it's only the V6 and no manual. All trim levels above Badlands (Wildtrak, Everglades, Raptor) are automatic only. I'm probably a little silly getting a 2 door when I quite frequently have a back seat passenger, but he happily climbs in the back of the Mustang, and there is e...

Re: Ordered - 2022 Bronco 2 door

Well, things have changed. My wife convinced me to go a little more upmarket on the Bronco ("Wait, it doesn't have heated seats!!?") So now, it's still the same color, still a manual, still green, but it's the Badlands trim with the High package. Badlands = Rubicon in Ford/Jeep speak. It h...

New ride - 2022 Bronco 2 door

I ordered a Base Sasquatch manual 2 door to have as the fun vehicle in the future. Still have the Mustang, and a GX460 replaced the 4Runner. Hopefully it gets built in 2022 and not pushed out a year or two, although the longer it goes, the more I have saved up in the Bronco fund. Right now, selling ...

Re: I bought another thing, ‘68 Mustang

Mustang update. One day pulling out of the garage, it decided it didn't like turning anymore. I installed a Flaming River manual steering box to fix that issue. I also installed a new pitman arm and rag joint since I was already taking it all apart. It was simple and everything disassembled easily. ...

Re: Down time....oops!

Agreed, we do need to get together. I hope to have the Mustang to DD status this summer. I wish I wouldn't have let the site die on the vine, but I had no clue how to keep it relevant.

Re: I bought another thing, ‘68 Mustang

Since I’m here, I’ve managed to get a few things done on the Mustang. Swapped the front drums for a KH disc setup. Refreshed all of the hard brake lines, new master. I left the rear drums, but replaced all of components. While I did the brakes, I replaced the front steering components, tie rod ends,...

Re: I bought another thing, ‘68 Mustang

I'm finally going to jack the car up and get to cleaning. I'll take some underside pictures once that starts. torque box/floor support rail will need repair. The rest appeared solid, but I'll find out for sure soon.

I bought another thing, ‘68 Mustang

Picked up this ‘68 Mustang last week for $5600. It runs, but needs some refreshing to be safely road worthy. Torque box on the drivers side is rusted, but not through to the floor. Body is very rust free, and the interior is 90%. Do I wish it was a fastback? Sure, but you can’t even get in a fastbac...

Re: The new 4Runner

Thanks. I'm really happy. I ended up with slightly less rake than stock (before measurements had me at 2'. after is 1.25"). Including the additional height from the tires, I'm at +2.25" in the front, and +1.25 in the rear). The tires are good for about 1/4" of the lift, which means I'...

Re: The new 4Runner

Lift installed. It took a few hours on Saturday to get through, but nothing too bad. I’m very pleased with the outcome. First pic I took last night, comparison of a stock SR5 to the mine, now.

Re: New Garage, new plans

Added a folding wall table today. I need to patch and paint the wall it’s on, as well as paint the table.
