Light turnout, but I enjoyed talking cars and racing with the group and seeing the various cars that Don and Pat are working on. I'd like to come to Miller/Ohio/etc next year for a race and just generally learn more and help out where I can. Thanks for opening up your shop and sharing with those of ...

My point was not that other cars and other configurations cannot put power down more effectively than an MS3 (especially considering they may be running a lot more tire), but simply that any high horsepower car has to be driven keeping in mind the traction limitations of any given situation.

The MS3 mod that I have found is the best bang for buck is the humble rear motor mount. The car feels much more direct, planted and confidence inspiring in all situations. Once you have that in, you'll be amazed at how much more the engine slops around the bay with the stock mount. Next after that w...

I have the short shift plate and knob from Jamie. I haven't had any problems installing or using it. The only thing I will mention is that the knob is all metal and tends to be hot in summer and cold in winter. The stock knob being covered in leather, tends to be more comfortable in temperature extr...

I’m running the stg1+SF Beta Boost Tuning 102 Map from Cobb without having calibrated the MAF. After driving around for a few days, all the breakpoints for the LTFT values were +/- 5 or less and at the time there was a problem with running logging on a customized/ATR resaved map. So I just left it a...

Any progress, Andrew? This seems like a great idea. I don't know that you need plastic ducts like the dude from msf. Maybe just remove the brake dust shield and fit a small wing or air dam that directs air to the wheel area. Just removing the shield and having the inner side more open to airflow wou...

Don,

Is practice something you would recommend for spectating...or should I wait to come down until the event itself?

Thanks,

I guess this means I need to get busy with my new track wheels, new tires and new front pad plans. Provided work isn't too busy, I'll be there for sure.

I cut it all the time working on molded RC Sailplanes. Is it cf cloth or a finished part? CF cloth you can cut with good scissors, a finished part you can usually cut with a Dremel and a good cutting wheel. Something super heavy, you might need a bandsaw.
