Re: Build thread

Ugh... I need to do the same thing with mine Eric. A high-flow cat is a must. The smell gives me headaches also so badly that I've barely driven the car in the last year.

Re: Platinum silver 2006 Mazdaspeed 6 for sale. (Needs engine)

I don't want to exceed around 350 whp. I'd like the motor to last and have a strong daily driver for a while. I don't need to make this a race demon, that is what the RX7 is for. I haven't decided on the turbo yet, but probably one of the BNR ones. The front calipers on this thing are pretty large. ...

Re: Platinum silver 2006 Mazdaspeed 6 for sale. (Needs engine)

I still need to get it off the trailer. I've been stupid busy. I'll take some pictures this weekend.

I think I've decided to go with a OEM reman Mazda engine. Probably get a BNR S3 turbo, upgraded fuel pump, CAI, turbo inlet pipe, AccessPort, and a tune to start with.

Re: Platinum silver 2006 Mazdaspeed 6 for sale. (Needs engine)

I'm thinking about this if I can afford it: http://www.speedperf6rmanc3.com/products/sp63-stage-1-built-long-block-for-mazda-mzr-disi.html It really depends on what else the car needs. If everything else is straight, I'll probably drop a built engine in it. If it needs other work, probably just go b...

Re: Do you change your own oil?

Depends on the car for me. RX-7 I do myself. The other cars I take to the shop. I don't see an option for that answer :)

Re: Platinum silver 2006 Mazdaspeed 6 for sale. (Needs engine)

PM'd.

EDIT: Hmm... it doesn't look like the PM is sending. Just sitting in the outbox. Anyway, I'd like to come look at this. I'll take it off your hands if it isn't too rough and just needs an engine.

My PM said I'm available to come check it out and possibly purchase tomorrow if you're up for it.

Re: Build thread

Did you ever get your headlights figured out? I think I am going to get these: http://www.sakebombgarage.com/rx7fd3s/lighting/premierline-hid/ They are doing a group buy right now. $200 off the price listed there. I have a coupon code from them for it. I'm trying to see if I can get the price lower ...

Re: Let's talk flooring

I too have looked at the Racedeck in the past. We're in the midst of selling our house and buying a different one and I want to make sure I do something to the garage floor BEFORE we get all our crap in there.

I will be following this thread to see how it turns out for you.
