I've heard good things about the 3M kit but when I did this on my Outback years ago, I used a jitterbug sander and at least 1,000 grit wetsand paper. Once I got them clear/back to factory, I clearcoated them and never messed with them again. Something with UV protection sounds like the way to go, so...

I bought a Protege5 and it came with this hood, but I've replaced it with a standard hood and just need it out of the garage.
