A 1977 Cherokee Laredo was my first truck - liived on a small island with lots of dirt roads. Failed inspection for "dangerous rust." I have to ask - do you REALLY want to restore this? You're already into it for $500. When you're done with it - a long time and a lotta dollars from now - you will ha...

Massive garage sale cleanout
I'm helping a friend clean out his garage which has thirty-some years of Mazda parts. There are a ton of Mazda parts, mostly rotary, RX-2, RX-4, RX-7 (1979-1985) Please email for more information and more pictures. All prices are "or best offer." If you are interested, drop me a line and we'll talk....

I don't think it is a physical issue since the parking lights work, and no dash lights for either the turn signal or hazards. Everything failing seems unlikely. I'm scared it's the "computer" these have. My first thought is to run another power lead to, uh, well, um, not sure where... Gonna check th...

I think I love this forum - the guy with the 2010 car thinks it will be the "non-solid-state component" since _everything_ on his car has more computing power than _anything_ from 1985... ... while the guy with 243 1980s Rx-7s says "hit it with a hammer a few times. That should do it." I'll try both...

Differential questions on 1985 Rx-7s
Newbie needs help, please.
What is involved in converting a GS rear axle (drums) to GSL rear discs? (GSL, not GSL-SE)
Are the axle setups all the same?
So an LSD will fit inside the GS open diff housing? Axles mate up?
There's a sordid tale behind all this. Thanks for any help!

Turn signals on 85 Rx-7 GS
Trying to get a 1985 Rx-7 GS back onto the street and need turn signal help, please. Ran when parked 14 months ago. Now, turn signals (and hazard flashers) don't work. Parking, brake and headlights all work fine. Horn and wipers work. Didn't see any loose or missing fuses under the dash - everything...

R134 Air Conditioning System for series one RX-7
Anyone interested in an airconditioning system for a series one (79-85) Mazda Rx-7? I've just pulled it out of a 1985 GS. Converted to R134. The usual "ran when parked." Probably has a slow leak. Also have the cruise control setup for the same car. Please PM if you have questions or want more info.

I had a set of SpeedBleeders on my Formula 1000 and it made it easy to bleed the brakes by yourself. Very helpful and a good value. But I borrowed one of these at the track and it was great: http://www.motiveproducts.com/ Even easier than the Speedbleeders - pump up the system and work at your leisu...
